  1. You, as a registered user ("Become a registered user":/help?action=newUser)
  2. have the level sixteen magical ability to cast "Modify this page" on any
  3. page. If you do this on any page that doesn't exist yet, then afterwards it
  4. does.
  5. The easiest way of doing this is to find somewhere to link to it from (Say,
  6. the front page) and edit that to include a link to your as-yet-nonexistant
  7. page, like this: [CC]myNewPage[CC], which will then look like this:
  8. ((myNewPage))
  9. <hr>
  10. h2. Formatting
  11. * ____italic____
  12. * ***bold***
  13. * --struck out--
  14. * ++added in++
  15. +* * bullet point
  16. +* # numeric bullet point
  17. +** ** Second level bullet point
  18. Headings are done by starting a line with h1. Your Title Here, replacing 1
  19. with a number from 1 to 6 gives you decreasing levels of heading.
  20. Formatting is reasonably logical and described better "at Textile's Home
  21. Page":http://www.textism.com/tools/textile/ (There's a certian
  22. bootstrapping problem to explaining the formatting here, since everything I
  23. write will be formatted according to the rules. This will be solved in a
  24. later version of the wiki software, which I (Aquarion) write).
  25. One way of seeing how the formatting works is to edit any page to see the
  26. source.
  27. If you want somewhere to muck around and experiment with wikiThings, I'd
  28. suggest the ((Playground)), for a better (or even 'a') description of what
  29. a wiki is, Start "here":http://wiki.org/wiki.cgi?WhatIsWiki
  30. h2. Linking
  31. [CC]item[CC] link to wiki page 'item'
  32. [CC]~user[CC] links to the user page for ((~user))
  33. [CC]item|title[CC] link to wiki page 'item' with the contents of the link
  34. as 'title'
  35. Put a link to another page in like this: "test": http://www.test.com
  36. becomes "test":http://www.test.com
  37. Surrounding any word or phrase with [CC]double brackets[CC] makes it an
  38. internal wiki link, a link to somewhere else on this site
  39. Then when you try to follow the link to ((An uncreated page)) you will be
  40. told this page doesn't exist, and asked if you want to create it. (Note
  41. that the link is a different colour. This means it's a link to a
  42. non-existant page. Links to existing pages look like this: ((help))
  43. h3. Advanced AqWiki Syntax
  44. [CMD]RECENT[CMD] list recent modifications
  45. [CMD]INDEX[CMD] alphabetical index of all pages
  46. [CMD]ALLBY|author[CMD] All revisions by 'author'
  47. [CMD]SEARCH|term[CMD] All current pages containing fulltext 'term'
  48. [CMD]VAR|$foo[CMD] display the contents of $foo (could be a GET or POST
  49. variable, or an internal one.
  50. [CMD]SETVAR|var|value[CMD] set internal variable 'var' to 'val'
  51. [CMD]MACRO|name[CMD] include the output of macro 'name'
  52. [CMD]CAL|yyyy-mm-dd|name[CMD] Add an event on 'yyyy-mm-dd' to the page
  53. calendar with the id of 'name'
  54. [CMD]CAL[CMD] display page calendar
